I finally decided it was time to spend a little extra money and get a good portrait lens for my camera... up until now I have only had the lens I got with my camera. I know practice makes perfect, but here are a few of my unpracticed favorites so far....

Wonderful! Your daughter is both beautiful and clearly full of personality. But tell me, what lens did you get??? I must know.
Eva certainly is full of personality, since the day she was born. I sure do like her that way! :) The lens is the canon EF-S 50mm 1.4 USM autofocus. It's not the fanciest portrait lens on the market, but it gets great user reviews and I really like it so far - and it was affordable!!!
Can you come live with me so my kids can always have amazing photos of themselves! Seriously these pictures are fantastic and little Eva is so stinking cute! I can't wait for the new baby!
I knew as soon as I saw these WONDERFUL photos what lens that was. I have the $100 version but covet the $1500 version... I'm guessing you got the mid range version???
Such nice words from friends sure does make any day better! Thank you! And yes, Lindsey, it is the mid range version. I decided to spring for it after reading about the differences between the two. This lens put me back about $375. Not too bad and it makes me love taking pictures again! Well worth it!
Can't wait to see more gems like these. Also, I can't believe how much she looks like you!
Great photos Rebekah!!
I can't wait to see the pics of your new little angel.
You're moving back to Logan?! That's awesome!! At least you'll be in the same state.
We are 100% coming up there sometime next summer. I miss it terribly and I want to go visit some places!
Keep me posted where you move to!
Love ya lots,
Jill
Yeah for the NIFTY FIFTY lens. This one hardly ever leaves my camera. Next to my Mac...it's my fav thing!
